At 6:00 pm (UTC+ 8) on January 24, 2025, Roam will officially launch the Pilot Burning Pool to help users convert Roam Points into $ROAM tokens and familiarize themselves with the Burning Pool mechanism and operation process before TGE, thereby maximizing the benefits of Roam Points. As a special Spring Festival event, the Pilot Burning Pool will start on January 24 and last until TGE.
What is a Pilot Burn Pool?
As one of the important assets driving the Roam ecosystem, Roam Points tokens play a key role in incentivizing users to participate in network construction. Every contribution of users in the Roam network will be rewarded with corresponding Roam Points. The launch of the Pilot Burning Pool will further enrich the Roam ecosystem, leading users to unlock new features and participate in more ecological activities. Users can flexibly manage their Roam Points and exchange them for $ROAM tokens. Once burned, Roam Points will be permanently destroyed. The Roam Pilot Burning Pool adopts a dynamic conversion rate mechanism, and the specific conversion rate depends on the total amount of points burned and the number of tokens generated in a specific time period. The amount of $ROAM tokens generated in each cycle is fixed, but the conversion rate will fluctuate, so choosing the right time to participate can get higher returns.
The Roam Pilot burn pool is based on cycles, each cycle is 1000 seconds. The minimum number of cycles that users can choose is 10 and the maximum is 1000. Once the number of cycles is selected, the Roam Points invested will be locked in that cycle and cannot be unlocked in advance. Users can only join the next cycle after the current cycle ends. All $ROAM tokens generated by the burn will be directly withdrawn to the users personal Roam wallet after the TGE.
Roam offers three different types of burning pools designed to meet the needs of different users:
1. General “Burning” Pool: This is a simple and easy way for all Roam users to participate. Users can earn Roam Points to participate in the General Burning Pool by adding WiFi nodes, signing in, inviting friends, etc. through the Roam App.
2. Miner “Burning” Pool: Only for Roam miner users (such as Rainier MAX 60, Baker MAX 30 or MetaBlox OG devices), this pool provides a higher exclusive conversion rate. Miner users can increase their points by mining, inviting people to check in, installing routers in high-traffic areas, or deploying more router miners.
3. Sticker Burning Pool: Designed for Roam Sticker holders, users can get Stickers by checking in through the Roam App, and redeem Roam Points to participate in the burning based on the number and rarity of Stickers. Roam Stickers are divided into 4 categories according to rarity:
Common sticker: 50 Roam Points
Rare sticker: 100 Roam Points
Epic stickers: 250 Roam Points
Legendary stickers: 1000 Roam Points
How to calculate the number of $ROAM tokens?
The number of $ROAM tokens generated in each burning cycle is fixed, and users who participate in the cycle receive tokens in proportion. The calculation formula is as follows:
(Total amount of $ROAM tokens generated in this period) ÷ (Total amount of Roam Points burned in this period) × (Number of Roam Points burned by the user in this period)
Take two consecutive combustion cycles as an example:
Cycle 1: User A burns 1,000 Roam Points and User B burns 2,000 Roam Points. A total of 3,000 Roam Points are burned. If 30 $ROAM tokens are generated in this cycle, User A gets 10 tokens and User B gets 20 tokens, distributed proportionally.
Cycle 2: If user C joins and burns 3,000 Roam Points, a total of 6,000 Roam Points will be burned. The number of tokens generated in this cycle remains 30, and the rewards will be adjusted proportionally: user A gets 5 $ROAM tokens, user B gets 10 $ROAM tokens, and user C gets 15 $ROAM tokens.
From the above examples, we can see that the number of participants and the timing of burning have a significant impact on the final revenue. Before each participation, users need to adjust their decisions based on the number of Roam Points in their personal account, the number of participants in this cycle, and the conversion rate of the burning pool to obtain the maximum revenue.
How to participate in the Pilot Burning Pool?
1. Download and install the Roam App and create a personal account.
2. Earn Roam Points and Roam Stickers by completing tasks or deploying Roam Miners.
3. Click Join Now on the event page in the app.
4. Select a suitable burning pool (general pool, miner pool or sticker pool) and determine the burning period.
5. Once confirmed, the Roam Points will be locked until the burn cycle is over.
In addition, users also need to pay attention to:
Minimum Roam Points Deposit: To participate in any burning pool, a minimum of 500 Roam Points is required.
Points lock: Roam Points must be held in the wallet for 48 hours (based on UTC time) before they can participate in burning.
No reversal: Once the burning process begins, the user will not be able to cancel it, and after the burning is completed, the Roam Points will be permanently destroyed.
$ROAM Token Withdrawal: $ROAM tokens will be available for redemption after TGE.
Earnings Difference: The estimated number of $ROAM tokens and the final number of tokens received may differ, and the specific amount will be affected by the number of participants and the burn conversion rate.
Summarize
The Roam Pilot Burning Pool provides users with a flexible way to convert Roam Points into $ROAM tokens. Whether it is a general pool, a miner pool, or a sticker pool, each pool provides different income opportunities based on the users contribution. By understanding the conversion rate of each pool and choosing the right time to participate, users can continuously optimize their income. In the future, the Roam Burning Pool will launch more features and provide more opportunities to participate. The Burning Pool is online, is TGE far behind? Download the Roam App now, earn Roam Points, participate in this special Spring Festival event, and prepare for the upcoming TGE.
