Don’t understand technical indicators, use AI to follow hot spots? Review Bitget GetAgent

I used Bitget GetAgent to buy the bottom of BTC. My friends said I acted like an investment bank.

Preface: Research background and evaluation motivation

The information density and strategy complexity of the crypto market are increasing day by day. Even users who are familiar with K-lines, understand fundamentals, and can read on-chain data often feel information overloaded.

This is why I have always been very interested in the combination of AI and crypto trading. In recent years, more and more platforms have begun to integrate AI functions, but most of them are still at the functional level or simple information aggregation. Bitget launched GetAgent with the promotion point of the worlds first all-round cryptocurrency trading assistant, which helps users obtain information, strategy analysis and place orders. I also unexpectedly benefited from a wave of BTC gains during the test.

This article evaluates GetAgent in daily transaction scenarios, mainly verifying two specific questions: Can it simplify the decision-making process and Can it bring higher returns? The evaluation results are for readers reference and communication.

1. Product positioning and basic functions

GetAgent is actually an AI trading assistant embedded in the Bitget App. It is positioned as an AI personal investment consultant and completes information processing, strategy generation, position diagnosis and simple trading suggestions through natural language interaction. Its biggest highlight is chat interaction + more than 50 professional-level MCP tools.

After testing, there are many scenarios where it can be used, including market analysis, position suggestions and even automatic trading:

  • Market analysis and trend interpretation: You can directly ask How is the BTC market today? The system returns a comprehensive interpretation combining K-line indicators, on-chain data and market sentiment;

  • Strategy suggestions and risk warnings: For example, Is it appropriate for me to increase my ETH position now? GetAgent will combine technical signals and individual risk preferences to give interval references and stop-profit and stop-loss suggestions;

  • Smart money tracking and hot spot deduction: In a sense, it simulates a hot spot warning by tracking on-chain funds, whale transfers, and KOL social mention frequency;

  • Position analysis and rebalancing recommendations: Based on the currency composition, concentration, and correlation of your account, we provide position adjustment recommendations;

  • Conversational learning AI: supports answering basic questions, such as What is AMM? and Who is the fixed investment strategy suitable for?

  • Automated trading: supports direct trading through dialogue, such as buy 1 ETH, add 100 BGB, and directly place orders through instructions.

From the perspective of functional logic, GetAgent attempts to cover the complete closed loop from information input to execution of recommendations, serving as a true AI personal investment advisor.

2. Actual usage experience: interactive process from input to output

The most direct feeling is: as an AI personal investment advisor, you can use natural language conversation with GetAgent just like using ChatGPT, without switching interfaces or checking chart data, and the overall user experience is relatively smooth.

For example, when I ask in the test: Is it a good time to buy BTC now? GetAgent will enter a thinking state, and you can click on it in the UI to view its thinking process:

  • “Understanding user needs and deeply analyzing the best solutions”

  • The strategy has been determined, and now we start the step-by-step professional analysis process. This step will be broken down into multiple sub-steps, including:

  • According to the users investment needs, now get the fear index trend and gain insight into the pulse of market sentiment

  • Linking to exchange data sources to provide you with a complete overview of BTC market conditions

  • Analyze the users query intention and retrieve the daily K-line data for interpretation

  • Understand that users need technical analysis, and now conduct a multi-indicator in-depth analysis of BTCUSDT

Different from the thinking process of DeepSeek, which has been often ridiculed recently, the above is obviously a standard thinking process defined by developers in order to enable GetAgent to provide good services in vertical fields, which conforms to the basic analysis path.

Finally, GetAgent gave a more detailed analysis, including:

  • Price trend and volume changes in the past month;

  • Status of key indicators such as RSI/MACD/Bollinger Bands;

  • Whether there is capital inflow into BTC during the market hotspot changes;

  • The technical support and resistance range of the current point;

  • External sentiment references (such as community sentiment and frequency of mentions by influencers);

The format of this output text is highly structured and can basically be used as a direct reference for decision-making.

In terms of interactive experience, I think its most successful point is to translate complex quantitative and fundamental analysis into popular language for users, which can lower the learning threshold for novices and improve decision-making efficiency for veterans.

However, when questions like the one above require analysis of specific currencies, GetAgents response time usually takes 30 seconds or even longer, which is a bit long for the mobile product experience. This is where I think we should focus on optimization.

3. Three core functional tests: GetAgent’s actual capabilities

Market Interpretation

The first thing to test is the basic market analysis. The author asked similar questions for BTC, ETH, and PEPE: Is the current point suitable for buying? The information returned by the system includes price range, support and resistance levels, status of major technical indicators, and changes in sentiment indicators. The data integrity of this part is good, especially the combination of the three dimensions of technology + chain + sentiment.

Compared with the traditional method, I need to use multiple different platforms to obtain this information, while GetAgent completes it with a text summary, saving a lot of switching time.

Smart Money Tracker

This feature is the highlight that the author focuses on. After trying to ask Does PEPE have any recent big-money actions for reference?, GetAgent provides information such as large-amount address data on the chain, DEX inflow and outflow trends, and hot KOL mentions. When asking What are whales buying recently?, GetAgent provides some tokens and related data (24-hour increase, current trading volume and market value) for reference. When asking Wood Sisters recent actions, it provides investment trends, investment logic analysis, investment references, market impact and other analyses.

The responses provided by this function are actually a bit thin for experienced traders, but overall it has an analysis depth close to that of professional investment research teams. It is also very easy to use and understand for retail investors, especially newcomers, and it bridges the information gap between them and professional traders at a very low cost.

Position Diagnosis

This is also a small feature that surprised me. GetAgent analyzed the position structure of my account and pointed out the risks of my high ETH concentration, lack of hedging currencies, and failure to take advantage of stablecoin opportunities. It also suggested setting up a market value balance mechanism to reduce the weight of altcoins.

This third perspective, different from that of the user, is obviously extremely valuable in assisting trading decisions. In particular, the system can provide detailed reasons and thinking processes, rather than mechanically instructing you what to do. This explainability has greatly enhanced the authors trust in the advice itself.

4. So can it bring “excess returns”?

This is a question that all readers are concerned about. During the test, the author used GetAgent to make several small-amount strategies, and the positions for adding positions were completely executed according to the suggestions. I didn’t expect that I could really catch up with the rise of BTC. The buying point and the position for adding positions were accurate. The spot price rose by 8 points in one day, but unfortunately I didn’t follow the suggestions to open a contract and missed a wave of contract profits!

So in my opinion, GetAgent is a valuable decision optimization tool that can help you make better decisions and earn profits. Its advantages are mainly:

  • Save time in searching and integrating information;

  • Output structured entry suggestions;

  • Prompts risk points that may be overlooked;

  • Improve your data base for decision making;

  • Finally, we will place the order for you based on your judgment.

Of course, it will not directly and accurately predict the top and bottom. You still need to make your own judgments, decisions, and be responsible for the risks. The authors attitude towards it is just like that towards autonomous driving. AI cannot and should not replace the subjective judgment of traders.

5. What decision-making behaviors did it change?

Before using GetAgent, I usually relied on data cross-confirmation from three dimensions: technical indicator charts, on-chain trends, and community sentiment; this meant that I had to switch between at least three platforms and manually annotate and summarize. Since incorporating GetAgent into my daily life, I have found that the process of information integration and quick judgment has become more efficient.

Compress the decision-making process and improve decision-making efficiency

It took less than 20 seconds for me to input a vague question, Is BGB suitable for short-term entry? and get the recommended range, stop loss reference point, and support and resistance range. More importantly, this information does not require me to cut the chart or verify the MACD/EMA values, but directly provides a credible thinking path.

This changed the authors daily decision-making rhythm from collect → summarize → judge → act to screen → judge → act.

Changes in decision-making perspective

In the past, I relied heavily on the shape logic of graphic patterns or technical indicators, such as triangle breakthrough and golden cross, etc. Now I pay more attention to cross-validation given by the system, such as whether sentiment indicators and capital inflows diverge? Is the narrative popularity of a currency declining?

This is actually a transition from indicator thinking to system perspective. GetAgent can help me sort out the logic instead of just telling me the numerical value.

Expanding the Dimension of Perceived Information

GetAgent also has a subtle effect: it makes you aware of certain data points that you have never paid attention to but are crucial, such as the increase or decrease of active addresses on the chain, the frequency of social mentions in the rotation of meme sectors, the behavioral trends of whale wallets transferring to exchanges, etc.

This type of structural arrangement of information used to be the exclusive domain of institutions, but now it can be seen at a glance through dialogue. Over time, the author has focused on more diverse dimensions when trading, and the probability of avoiding pitfalls has naturally increased.

6. Recommendations for different types of traders

AI tools are not suitable for everyone, nor can they show optimal performance at all stages. In my test, I tried to analyze the adaptability of GetAgent from the perspectives of several typical users.

New users: Provide friendly onboarding guidance

For users who don’t understand charts at all and are unfamiliar with on-chain logic, GetAgent’s core value lies in being “newbie-friendly.” For example, it can help users plan fixed investment plans, explain basic concepts, and use specific cases to explain the source of volatility and risk points.

This is much more reliable than a novice blindly studying TA or following KOL opinions. For new users, this is a good AI coach type tool.

Heavy Trader

For users who frequently operate and have their own strategic framework, GetAgent provides decision assistance + blind spot reminder. It cannot replace the system you have established, but it can help you verify whether certain trends match your cognition, or issue warnings when you ignore details.

Especially in the stage when hot coins rotate frequently, using GetAgent can speed up judgment and reduce noise interference caused by massive information.

Aggressive Investors

For aggressive investors who are looking for high-frequency operations, hot spots, and Alpha, GetAgent’s potential value lies in two directions:

  • Hot spot prediction mechanism: By analyzing the popularity of narratives, community index, and whale buying rhythm, it may be possible to give a signal before a surge;

  • Risk list function: It will point out the risks of certain tokens with poor liquidity, low market value, and frequent selling by institutions, and issue warnings for potential risks.

The rationality of AI is like the scabbard of a sword, providing caution and restraint for aggressive investors.

7. What is GetAgent worth?

As a product still in the beta stage, GetAgent is far from being a perfect replacement for manual trading. But I think it has made a very clear breakthrough in the user experience of crypto trading.

Current stage: learning tools + decision support

In terms of its functional completeness, GetAgent is a comfortable tool to use, especially for:

  • Navigation during the learning process for novices;

  • Intermediate users who have a strategic framework but limited energy;

  • Experienced users who want to quickly focus on key information and reduce blind spots in judgment.

Mid-term potential: an important sign of tool equality

The greatest potential of GetAgent lies in its ability to break the information gap between individuals and institutions. It integrates a wide range of data dimensions and has a relatively stable information model. Although it cannot build a true Alpha strategy, it can quickly help users skip invalid noise and focus their attention on valid information points.

In a sense, it puts quantitative data services into the hands of ordinary users in the form of dialog boxes.

Long-term development: may become the standard entry point for trading platforms

If GetAgent continues to optimize input parsing, strategy models, execution linkage and other modules, I think it is likely to become the default interactive entrance of the trading platform in the future. Just like today you use Google to search for information and use Siri to control devices, in the future, the first step to open the trading software is to ask AI a question.

8. Summary and Conclusion

After testing for the past few days, I think GetAgent can indeed serve as an excellent AI personal investment consultant in the crypto market. It helps you focus on information, reminds you of risks, provides direction suggestions, lets you make decisions, and then places orders for you with one click.

For traders who are keen on self-learning and improving their cognitive system, this is a tool that is worth continuing to pay attention to. I will continue to use it for trading preparation, position adjustment assistance and hot spot verification. And I look forward to it making more optimizations in data depth, feedback speed and execution interface.
